Milwaukee, WI (October 9, 2015) Prevent Blindness Wisconsin has been selected by the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee to receive the 2015 Nonprofit Excellence Award for Fiscal Integrity. According to the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee, the award recognizes a nonprofit that has exemplified excellence in financial management and stewardship of organizational resources in the areas of financial and managerial accounting, finance and fiscal reporting over a five-year period ending with the 2014 calendar year.
Prevent Blindness Wisconsin has experienced steady financial growth over the past five years thanks to donors and friends. In addition, the agency has implemented new financial management procedures and policies to ensure the agency’s fiscal strength.  Notes Prevent Blindness Wisconsin Executive Director Barbara Armstrong, “The Prevent Blindness Wisconsin board of directors recognizes that financial stability and measured growth is critical to helping us achieve our strategic goals to serve more children.
